Robert Grosseteste - The Bishop Who Took on the Pope and Won

Robert Grosseteste’s experiences must have been varied, for he lived during four reigns. Born about 1175, in Stradbrooke, in Suffolk, soon after the murder of Thomas Becket, he, no doubt, often heard, when a boy, the tale of the struggles between Henry II and the Archbishop of Canterbury.
